I just finished watching My Best Friend's Wedding on TV. When it first came out I loved that movie so much I saw it on the theater twice. I still love that movie but is it just me or does it not make sense?
Michael, the best friend, let me repeat that, her BEST friend hasn't been in touch with Jules for months and then invites her to his wedding with a day's notice? Ok so she falls off the bed when she hears the news to show us that yes, this is shocking, but it's more unbelievable than shocking isn't it?
Don't even get me started on Jules' attempt at trying to compose an e-mail using MS Word.
Ok so then it's a super rushed planned wedding obviously, but this wedding is a MASSIVE orchestration of events! How did they invite everyone? How did they book somewhere? Florists? Caterers? A freaking church choir? Ok so they try to explain it away by saying Kimmy's dad is like some uber rich mogul but really? Or is that how things work if you're rich? You know what story would have been interesting? What their wedding planner had to freaking go through!
I think my meager experience with wedding planning has ruined me for wedding movies just like how being a semi-geek has ruined me for "technology thrillers".
