Well that was fast.

Fresh off the needles as evidenced by the yarn sitting by my GTA playing model.

I would highly recommend the helical method for a hat so long as you do not mind that by its nature you will end up with a stripe that doesn't quite completely close (you can see I mean by that by the light green that suddenly stops before the decreasing in the dark green).  I am not that picky, nor is my recipient so I'm super happy with this super fast project.

Ahhh it's a lot easier to stay up and be obsessed with the election results this year.

Particularly since I can also occupy myself by presenting some FOs recently completed.

Yarn: Debbie Race Cotton Angora, about 2.5 skeins
Needles: US 10

The tattoo is fake, I was Amy Winehouse for Halloween and it hasn't come off yet :P

Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease worsted, .5 skein burgundy and .25 skein cranberry
Needles: US 7 and 8

Woo hoo, it's TWO completed projects!

First is the mini-Clapotis:

Yes, I know, it's another gratuitous boob shot. But it's a freakin scarf, how else would I wear it?

It was really FUN to knit.  Those dropped stitches sure add some thrill.  I am also now a Lorna's Laces convert.

And next is Harlequin Cap number 2 (aka Another freakin sock yarn beanie)

Next up I'm working on some wine cozies using some cheapie stash yarn (nothing wrong with a little Simply Soft but damn, it's taking up room and Stitches West is coming up).  Those are knitting up super fast and they're going to be Christmas gifts.

Then I'm going to start Jaywalker when Kris' yarn comes in.  Still contemplating joining the actually KAL... it's like if someone told me to do something, that's a sure fire way to make sure I won't.

But lookee at the beyooootiful Socks that Rock skeins that I got from Kris!

Finished three beanies for Christmas!
From left to right: Noro Shinano, Mmmmanos, and Noro Silkgarden. I looooved making these three. Using nice yarn sure makes beanie-making go faster!

I used the Silkgarden beanie pattern posted here.  I made the left beanie exactly to pattern, but modified the other two to knit a little more than 5 inches before starting the decrease.

Finished the Harlequin Cap!  It's reversible but I like this way better:

It's sized for an adult male but it fits my head, thus confirming my suspicions that I have a gigantic head.  I think it'll end up being a gift anyway.
