So close!
That's a front, two sleeves and 4 cm left for the back. And yet this is now temporarily in the slow lane.
So yummy!
That's the tantalizing beginning of a pair of Monkeys using Sunshine Yarns in Desert Bloom. But alas, also on the backburner for now.
And for what?
Birthday socks. That's a skein of Lisa Souza Sock! in Garnet that I'm attempting to turn into a pair of Mata Hari's (with a picot cuff) for Craig's sister. Everyone is familiar with the Boyfriend Sweater Curse but does this also apply toward socks for the boyfriend's sister? I won't go into the details of how I got "tricked" into making her socks, but let's just say that in this instance "tricked" can also mean "had too many glasses of wine with her and started showing her my knitting". I picked this yarn because I just finished socks in a similar colorway for myself so I don't think I'll want this skein for myself anyway even though the color is just lovely. And I picked Mata Hari because it's relatively brainless and quick (I've knit a pair before for my mom).
I wish I could knit her something more intricate but her birthday is around September 10th, which gives me an Olympic knitting kind of timeframe and the pattern is a good compromise without being boring stockinette.
I think I can at least get the sweater in blocking mode since I only have about 10 rows left but the pretty monkeys will have to wait. sniff sniff.
