The full story.  Amazing! And probably delicious, but who could possibly get themselves to eat that??

The offset cable zip up cardi (I need a name for it...) is slowly progressing.

I'm about to start the armhole shaping for the sleeves.  But I gotta tell you, it's hard plowing through endless ribbing when all that's calling for me is this:

It's some Jitterbug sock yarn I picked up in Boston in Plum.  I've already cast on for the Gentlemen's Fancy Socks with the Lozenge Pattern because I've been fixated by Kris' for a while now and I think she's spot on with going with a red colorway.  I'm almost done with the cuff and the color is just delicious!

I can't wait to finish these because I want to use another little gem that was waiting for me in Boston:

Weeeeeeeeee BUNNY SOCK BLOCKERS!!!!  I got them from these delightful eBay merchants and I'm pretty sure I got them custom made because when Kris asked them if they had bunnies they said "Sure we do, give us a mo'" and then they came back with SKETCHES for approval.  I picked the design you see above and I'm super delighted because as far as I know, I'm the only gal with bunny blockers... for now...  ;)

Oh and the baby sock jag, do just two pairs count as a jag?

But I'll have to you know that one of those socks in the back (Fairgrounds, STR) had 5 false starts before I decided to do basic socks, so really this picture represents at least 5 pairs! (The other socks are leftover STR in Garnet Dream)

It just doesn't seem fair.  I've been scandlously neglecting my knitting blog and yet earlier this week I receive the loveliest surprise in my e-mail:

Yes, I got admittance into the golden gates of Ravelry!  I know, it really doesn't seem fair considering there are far more deserving people without an account yet but I can help but glee!  If you are already on there, find me under mimsie!

Anyhoos, that leaves little left for posting so I'll finally put up that meme that Madalyn tagged me for a while back. 

7 (or 8 depending on what blog you read) Random Things About Me

1. I was born in Inchon, South Korea and move to the States when I was 3. I got my citizenship in 2004, which was great timing because I got to vote for the first time soon after.
2. Now I live in England. I moved here in September of 2006, kind of for work but mostly just to say I lived overseas.  I like it here all right but I miss the burritos.
3. Besides knitting, I also love to cook. Unfortunately I haven't been keeping up the cooking blog, but I swear I do cook quite regularly and am always on the hunt for good recipes.  My bloglines subscriptions for food blogs is rivaling in number with my knitting blogs.
4. I hate orange flavored things but I love citrus fruits.
5. I think I am on the borderline of having an actual balloon phobia (globaphobia). I get very anxious around them and the sight of people manipulating them (ie balloon animals) is almost enough to send me into panic mode. Not quite debilitating, but I'm watching it. Note: does not include mylar balloons.
6. I used to have 8 "active" piercings on my body. I'm down to 4 but I just checked a week ago and I could have 6 if I wanted to because two never healed.
7. My boyfriend is Scottish. He's brilliant.  Being with him is the best thing to happen in my life.  I love to hear him say murder.  Find someone with a Scottish accent and tell them to say "There's been a murder" and you'll know why. Swoon. I like him for other reasons than his accent, honest.
