Obviously the news that June and July were obliviated from existence was a memo that only I received.
Anyway, the recent topsy turvy nature of my life has prevented me from being the good knit-blogger that my heart SO desires to be.
I've finished a couple of things since the last time I blogged, but nothing really worth cataloging, except for the Falling Leaves socks. They are beyooootiful and I've already worn them a ton. Just need to snap a pic for the album! I'll post those as soon as I can, along with the Fairgrounds socks I knit using a pattern by Kris.
Right now I'm planning for "Moving Knitting". Basically I'm going to be yarnless for the time my stuff is shipped out to the UK, which could be a month! So I must plan projects and hoard yarn accordingly. This is what I have planned so far:
- Lotus Blosson Shawl - this is a current WIP using some gorgeous slate blue laceweight from Tess yarns.
- Snowdrift stole - Using 1500 yards of Tsuki by Artfibers. I hope it works, I can't find gauge information about the yarn they used in the pattern.
- Widdershins - using some Trekking XXL in grays, hoping to look something like the Harlot's
- Baudelaire - yarn TBD, probably some maroon Tess yarn.
- Elfine socks - using some gorgeous handpainted yarn gifted to me by Kris. It's the green one in the middle of the bottom pic here.
Basically shawls and socks. I'm contemplating adding a sweater for variety's sake but I need to be honest with myself, will I get to it? Probably not. And if this isn't enough to tide me over, all the better as I can use it as an excuse to hunt out a new LYS over in the UK!
