Finished the Harlequin Cap!  It's reversible but I like this way better:

It's sized for an adult male but it fits my head, thus confirming my suspicions that I have a gigantic head.  I think it'll end up being a gift anyway.

Huzzah!  Ribby Cardi is finally finished!!  I'm so happy and proud of myself!

It is quite collegiate and quite atumnal. So much so, I'm thinking about changing its name to "Harvard boyfriend sweater" and no I don't have a boyfriend at Harvard, but it looks like something this hypothetical boy would let me borrow.

I'm still a bit iffy about how I did my zipper, but the thread doesn't show very well so I'm not going to worry about it.  The arms are a bit tighter than I'd like so I have to wear a sleeveless under it.  Not a problem since the cardi seems to be pretty warm even with a sleeveless and luckily in San Diego, "pretty warm" is good enough.

And of course I have another sweater planned already. Hudson from Noro in color #19.

My co-worker was in Finland for a month, and knowing my affinity for knitting, she was very sweet to bring me back two skeins of yarn.  I'm not sure what kind of yarn they might have especially in Finland, but what does she bring (because she said it was "very popular" there right now)?  Fun fur!  heeeee!

Upon closer inspection, it's not quite fur, it's more like Fun Feathers.  Very very soft, and while it's not something I can see myself wearing, I think I'm going to pair it up with some Simply Soft and make a scarf and then give back to my co-worker as a way of saying "Thanks for thinking of me!"

I also have a progress picture on my harlequin beanie. It looks really weird though because I've started on the second color and it's supposed to have a cuff so it looks really long... Anyway, I like how the two colors are looking together. Come to think of it, I have a puffy vest in the same colors so if I decide to keep it for myself, I can be obnoxiously matching. :)  But in actuality this will probably be a gift because I've sized it for an adult male (although, I do have a rather large head).

Marisa and Kris came over yesterday to start on our Mary Ella kits.  It was Christmas in March!

Mary Ella is... challenging.  It took me about 30 minutes to undo a mistake I had noticed 2 rows after the happened.  But I like how it's turning out.  i hope it doesn't take too long because I have another one lined up. But I can't complain, Marisa has 5!

When I needed to take a break, I finished seaming Ribby Cardi. Kris and I ordered zippers so as soon as I get the extra oxblood (thanks, Leisel!) I just have the collar left.

The Ribby Cardi is making tremenjus progress. I'm finally blocking it out!

I'm a bit apprehensive about piecing it together (especially the zipper). Imagine going throuh all this only to screw it up at the end!  I think Kris and I are going to take a day and do her York and my ribby together for moral support.

I also put my beads on for Mary Ella.  3 hours sounds about right.  I think we're gonna start on Monday.

And because I'm a freak, I cast on and did about an inch of a Harlequin Cap. It's reversible and I'm using Sock it to Me Essential 4 ply in Tuscan Olive and Pumpkin Spice (no link on Elann, must have sold out!).  Pictures to come when there's something to see.  :)

Jury duty is over and the washcloths are finished!

Jury duty is lame, but it's making me quite productive with the knitting.  I thought I'd be outta there yesterday, but just my luck I got picked as an alternate.

I've finished not one, but TWO washcloths and I'm sure I'll finish the third by tomorrow's end:

I made the first two on my Denise's and then switched to dpn's. The yellow I'm doing straight off on my dpn's (Clovers) and I have to say I like it better.  I like how the yarn works on the bamboo and I don't have to worry so much about the dangling ends matching because I pretty much put a petal on each dpn.

Also, made some progress on the Ribby Card:

I'm about 2 inches short of the armhole shaping.  As you can see, also on Denises.  I'm totally missing the Addi Turbos, but after yesterday's incident I've decided not to take my chances on bringing any pointy metal objects to court.

I finished my first Dulaan scarf. It's a simple 2x2 ribbing, which I did using the continental method for practice.

I also finished the Misty Garden scarf!

Just in time for March. So for March I have the ribby cardi (crossing my fingers that I'll finish) and 3 washcloths, and hopefully the Mary Ella bracelet (a girl can dream, can't she?)

So I just have the two fronts, collar, and zipper left.  I'm aiming for the end of March to finish the cardi. Thank goodness for May Grays and June Gloom in San Diego, I just might get some life out of it when I'm done!

I'm also almost done with my first Dulaan scarf. It's just a 2x2 rib so I won't be showing pics until it's done. I'm doing it in continental style so hoepfully I'll make the transition to continental by the end of the month too.

Also sooooo close to finishing the Misty Garden scarf.  Also saving pictures for when I'm done.

I think Kris, Marisa, and I are going to start on the flower washcloths on Monday. whee!
