Just got tagged by Kris. I haven't finished my Misty Garden scarf yet (ran out of yarn, blast it!) or made much progress on the Ribby Cardi sleeves (4 more inches before arm shaping), so I guess this is a good post as any other.
Do you knit using the English or Continental Method?
English. I think I'm what they call a "thrower". I really want to learn the continental method though. Just have to get myself to make a cheapie 2x2 ribbing scarf or something.
How long ago did you learn to knit?
I learned when I was very very young (about 7) and then picked it up on and off again. I just got serious about it again around September, because of Kris. :)
Who taught you how?
My mom taught me using wooden chopsticks wittled down to blunt points. I remember, I made a pink scarf in garter stitch and it went up to about 6 feet long cause I didn't know how to stop.
What was your first FO?
The Spiderweb Capelet from Stitch N Bitch Nation. Although that's like my 4th project I started. It was super fast!
Favorite yarn?
I loved working with Manos, but I must admit that I'm looking for a project to work with Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk again.
Favorite pattern you’ve knit so far?
The Spiderweb Capelet. I liked dropping stiches. Please, no one whisper "Clapotis" to me, I have enough WIPs thank you very much!!
Favorite Pattern Source?
Kris. *grin* Otherwise, all things internet.
Favorite Needles?
Loving the Addi Turbos, but for its versatility I am a huuuuge fan of those Denise interchangeables. And I actually really liked working with my Clover dpn's.
Nicest thing you’ve ever knit?
Again, Spiderweb capelet. I got a lot of compliments on it and it's soooo soft.
Most hated project?
Both of my 1/3 finished blankets. BLANKETS. What was I thinking? They'll never be done and they will sit in my basket forever.
Who are you going to pass this on to?
I don't know anyone else to pass this onto. Kris and Marisa being my only internet knitting buddies. So I guess the stitch stops here!
