Last night I attended my first English Premier League match at the fabulous Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal v. Blackburn!
You can probably guess who I support by now:
Rest assured that was taken at home before going to the game. Craig was pretty skeptical that security would let me in (plastic needles!!) so I got my fix during dinner.
On the way to the stadium we joined bigger and bigger crowds of fans making their way towards the game. It gave me an incredible sense of Belonging.
Cheesy tourist picture time!
Rubbish, that one doesn't show my Gooner pride.
That's better. Ding!
MInutes before the game I bought a pint of beer. No sooner had I taken a sip when Craig told me I couldn't take it in and had to finish it before taking my seat.
The crowd was in full attendance at 60,025
The crowd closest to the camera are the Blackburn fans. We provided our share of chanting and taunting.
For those astute enough to notice, yeah, I totally got bangs!
Closest shot of the night:
You can just barely make out Fabregas, Lehman, Gallas, Sanderos, and Adebayor, Gilberto, Hleb and Flamini.
With action in the first few minutes and the last few seconds, we got the result we wanted and we're back at the top of the league baby!
