I've been meaning to share this with ya'll a while back but I totally forgot about it until I was browsing my phone.
So every Sunday loads of television shows here in the UK provide accessibility features. Basically they show someone doing sign language in the corner of the tv screen. I thought this was interesting and pretty cool. And then I saw this, which basically makes it totally awesome (for a laugh) and I haven't been lucky enough to chance upon something like it again.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you "Accessibility goes hip hop"
Sorry for the poor quality, but I think you are still able to appreciate the rhythm and passion the signer (not singer) has for the song.
It makes me wonder though. I like a lot of hip hop mostly for the melodies and dance-y rhythms. Lyrics are usually utter shite. If an actual deaf person saw this, would they think hip hop was absolutely ridiculous since all they have to go by is a generic beat and the actual words?
And does ASL have a sign for "For shizzle my nizzle"?
UPDATE
I had to add this hilarious spoof done by Soccer AM because it's so apropos.
