Can you believe it's been one year already??
I contemplated for a couple of weeks on how I could commemorate the day. There were thoughts of going out to London or maybe even Stonehenge (it's actually quite closeby). I could perhaps visit the hotel I first lived in and relive my first England meal, McDonald's (I haven't had any since!)
But in the end, Craig woke me up this morning with "Want to go to the farm park?"
The farm is about 10 minutes away and I'd been talking about going there for ages. One time Craig actually surprised me by driving through the car park (I could see ducks and guinea pigs from the car) but we didn't actually go in. But this time, I got the whole shibang, admission tickets and sheep snacks and all! I should have gotten some hen snacks as well because I got chased by the bastard chickens at one point. (video soon to follow)
The rest of the afternoon has been spent watching some rugby (the world cup is soon on) and now Still Game is on the dvd. This is quickly becoming one of my favourite comedy shows, which could be considered surprising as it's mostly about old Scottish dudes. I have to watch with the subtitles on, which just goes to show that I may have been here a year already, but I've still got a ways to go.
Anyway, the journey's been great so far. I'm working on compiling a list (I love lists) describing my year here so far so that's soon coming. In the meantime, cheers everyone!
