That's my kind of woman

My last trip up to Scotland a few weeks ago was for Craig's mom's birthday.  Because she and her husband moved into their new house over the holidays last year they didn't have a proper Christmas. So, naturally they dragged out the Christmas tree and celebrated in June. 

I gotta love a woman who shares my fondness for celebrating holidays at innappropriate times.

That's Craig's mom in the background. She is awesome and her kitchen is something I can only aspire towards for now. Her cooker has 6 hobs and a wok hob.  That's SEVEN YO!

I am definitely a member of the "clowns fucking freak me out" club, but I have to hand it to him for the little party trick he set up.

Or perhaps they grow tiny ass pineapples??  Nah, we put the carrot by the mayo bottle for scale so you know it's the carrot that's scarily gigantic.  I was going to put it next to my head for scale but that would have made it look like a baby carrot because you know, my gigantic head and all.

Status update: Hunky dory

I think there is an inverse relationship between my happiness and frequency of blog posting.

When I'm miserable, or bored, or heartbroken, I feel compelled to spew my thoughts here to share with everyone (how kind I am!).  But when I'm doing just dandy it seems rather wasteful to check in to say "I IS SO HAPPY! THIS IS HAPPY SHMEE!"  So the blog lags, crickets come out to chirrup, spiders weave some webs, echo echo echo is anyone out there....?

It's sort of like last year when I was in Vegas, I was telling the girls that my weight fluctuates with my general level of Life Satisfaction.  At that point in time I was going through a bad bad bad breakup and my weight just plummeted. Not to dangerous levels of course, just enough to let me get into the Skinny Jeans with perfect ease.

Then as time went on and I became more like myself again, the weight crept back up and the Skinny Jeans went deeper and deeper into the Jean Drawer.

But weight correlation isn't exactly right because I'm starting to shimmy back into stuff I haven't fit in years and I can honestly say without  blinking an eye that I'm happier than I've been in a long time.

So what's with blog?  How come I can't blog when things are going good? 

And why am I blogging now?!?!

I think it's 'cause I'm sad I'm not blogging as much as I used to.
