Yes, I know. Google has their own IM service now.
But please, stop sending me emails inviting me to join in the fun. They don't have a OSX supported client and it's just cruel to keep sending me screenshots of the thing. I know I can connect through Adium (which is quite the nifty little chat client if you ask me) but what's the point in signing in with my gmail account since it won't have my gmail contacts?
You can reach me as usual via my AIM screen name, HappiMi (had it since I was 14). Actually though, mebbe not. Somehow I set my privacy not to allow people to see me on their contacts list until I message them first. So if you add me, shoot me a gmail (mimsie) or else you'll think I'm never online (which is, of course, absurd).
In the meantime, stop teasing me!

Ok so the only good thing I can think of is if this somehow paves the way for future IM interoperability... even then, not too compelling since adium and trillian hooks them all together for now.
And I think Adium has a lovely user interface (although it could handle file transfers better). Every PC user who has seen my computer inevitably asks "How did you get your buddy list to look like that??" Before I smugly respond, "It's Adium. It's only for the mac."
The voice feature? Not so much a feature for me. I like IMing because it doesn't have voice.
In conclusion: I'm over it. And it only took me 12 hours.
