I wonder if there's any cookies left.

Pros of all day meetings:

1. Free lunch.  And most other people invited to the meeting are smart enough to duck out... which leaves better sandwiches for me (like yummy chicken salad and roast beef and not that yucky ham on rye).
2. Air-tight alibi for not answering work related e-mail and avoiding lame conversations with... people.
3. Cookies at 2 o'clock.
4. Meeting conducted in semi-dark with a projector creates a soothing atmosphere conducive for catnaps (especially with a full stomach).

Cons of all day meetings:

1. I eat a ton of sandwiches. Not because I'm that hungry but because they are just there.
2. Avoiding work e-mail all day does not create a positive situation come 4 o'clock.
3. I eat a ton of cookies, again because their mere existence compels me to.
4. As I come out of that cocoon of a meeting room: "The light! Oh the LIGHT!!!" *hissss*
